Department of Pharmacology
Department of Pharmacology was established in 2018 under the able guidance of Prof. Dr. Jyoti G. Jain as Head of the Dept.. Department also conducted ‘Diploma in Pharmacy,’ Degree and PG ( M. Pharma. In Pharmacology { 15 Seats, Soon going to be Started 2024 – 2025}) as a part of teaching and research. Presently the department is having Diploma and Degree ( B. Pharma.) course. Additionally, the teachers of the Dept. are engaged in teaching and training of B. Pharma. And Diploma in Pharmacy students since 2018.
Department is having well-equipped labs. for both U.G. and P.G. teaching & research including Ex Pharm (see the separate link of “Important Labs”). Department has well-furnished seminar room with audio visual facility & library for post-graduate students. The residents and faculty members of the department are playing active role at national and international level through participation in various conferences of national and international repute and as a member of different academic committees.
Vision
To achieve centre of excellence in the field of pharmacology and Therapeutics as well as Toxicology in Pharmaceutical sciences and drug delivery by innovative and current concepts in education and research.
Mission
- Acquiring new knowledge in pharmacology and related basic sciences.
- Creation of knowledge related to drugs by conducting research.
- Transmission of knowledge to medical and paramedical students through teaching in a manner that allows them to develop their analytical and intellectual capabilities.
- Assuming administrative responsibilities as expert committee member at local, national and international level.
- Contribution to the progress of society through offering expert advice to, and participating in, government and community organizations or activities related to pharmacology and drugs in general.

Dr. Jyoti G Jain working as Research guide, Prof.& HOD in the Department of Pharmacology at MAM college of Pharmacy, Gulbarga. she has completed her masters in Pharmacology from VLCP , Raichur affiliated to RGUHS Bangalore, Karnataka. she has completed her Ph.D. from ANU Guntur (AP) . She is having 28 years of teaching experience Responsible in-charge for all pharmacological experiments. She is guiding 5 UG & 5 PG students every year. She is having total 24 National and International publications and also 7 poster presentations. Previously worked as , Prof & HOD at Luqman college of pharmacy Gulbarga. She is a life member of APTI, IPA & IHPA.

MD ALIMODDIN is an Associate Professor in Department of Pharmacology at MAM College of pharmacy Gulbarga. With Master of Pharmacy from Luqman College of pharmacy, Gulbarga from RGUHS, Bangalore, Karnataka. He is pursuing Ph.D. from VELS UNIVERSITY CHENNAI, Tamil Nadu. He is having Thirteen years of teaching experience in various departments like Pharmacology, Pathophysiology and Human Anatomy and Physiology. He is a Life member of APTI, India. Previously worked as Principal at Crescent College of Pharmacy, Gulbarga. He is guiding five PG students. He is having total five international publications in Elsevier, International Archives of Biomedical and Clinical Research, African Journal of Biological Sciences, Journal of Propulsion Technology, Indo-American Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Satish S Kalshetty working as an Associate professor in the Department of Pharmacology at MAM college of Pharmacy, Gulbarga. He had completed his masters in Pharmacy in Pharmacology from HKES MTRIPS, Gulbarga from RGUHS Bangalore, Karnataka. He is pursuing PhD from MEWAR University Rajasthan. He is having 12 years of experience in teaching in Pharmacology Responsible in-charge for all pharmacology experiments. He is guiding five PG students of Master in Pharmacy in pharmacology. He is having total five national publications and UGC publication. Previously worked as Principal in KIPSAR, Gulbarga. He is also a LIC inspector under RGUHS, Bangalore.
