MAM College of Pharmacy provides a variety of courses to cater to different educational aspirations: 

B.Pharma

Affiliated to RGUHS, Karnataka, MAM College of Pharmacy offers a four-year Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) program under the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi. In addition, the program follows PCI’s academic standards to ensure high-quality training and instruction.

Eligibility : 10+2 (Science) with PCM or PCB or an equivalent degree. The whole program includes annual examinations and six months of on-the-job training on the pharmacy floor. This well-structured training offers students the necessary knowledge of pharmaceuticals and skills, thereby preparing them for an industrious future.

D.Pharma

MAM College of Pharmacy offers a two years course in Pharmacy that is known as Diploma in Pharmacy – D. Pharm and it is approved by PCI, New Delhi, and is regulated by the Board of Examining Authority, Karnataka. PCI sets the educational standards, ensuring a high-quality training curriculum.

Eligibility: It qualifies as having successfully gone through its 10+2 (Science) with PCM or PCB or equivalent. The course includes Part-I and Part-II, along with an annual examination and 500 hours of practical training, spread over three months. As a result, students gain basic knowledge in pharmaceutical terms while also getting hands-on learning experience for a career in pharmacy.

M.Pharma

MAM College of Pharmacy provides a two-year M.Pharm in specializations of Pharmaceutics and Pharmacology. RGUHS Karnataka affiliates and PCI, New Delhi, approve the program. The program encompasses four semesters. Additionally, students study Advanced Pharmaceutics, Drug Delivery Systems, Pharmacokinetics, Clinical Pharmacology, and Pharmacogenomics. Furthermore, they must complete a dissertation and viva to successfully complete the program.

Eligibility: Criteria include at least 50% aggregate scoring in B.Pharm and valid GPAT results. The program encompasses four semesters. Students study Advanced Pharmaceutics, Drug Delivery Systems, Pharmacokinetics, Clinical Pharmacology, and Pharmacogenomics. This together with a dissertation and viva will amount to what this program entails. The program offers students the option to acquire highly specialized knowledge through academic and research training. 

Pharm.D

MAM College of Pharmacy offers the 6-Year Doctor of Pharmacy course, is affiliated to RGUHS, Karnataka, recognized by PCI, New Delhi. Students complete five years of academic training and then participate in a one-year internship.

Eligibility: 10+2 in PCRB with minimum 50% aggregate and possession of a valid Merit entrance test score NEET/KCET. “The curriculum consists of Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Clinical Research, and Pharmacotherapeutics. The last year also includes an internship in a hospital or community pharmacy before graduating to have sharp clinical skills and be ready for the industry.

Department of Pharmaceutics

The Pharmaceutics Department formulates dosage forms and converts chemical entities into safe, effective medicines. The role of Pharmaceutics thus finds great importance in the B.Pharm and Pharm.D courses, covering biopharmaceutics, drug delivery systems, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.

We prepare graduates for careers in the pharmaceutical industry and research and for healthcare with formulation development, regulatory compliance, and quality control. The department ensures that students remain updated with the latest knowledge and practices in the modern context of drug development and patient care with various instruments and activities. 

Department of Pharmacology

The Department, founded in 2018, currently offers D.Pharm and B.Pharm programs and plans to introduce M.Pharm (Pharmacology) soon. Prof. Dr. Jyoti G. Jain leads the Department, overseeing teaching, research, and practical training in pharmacology.

These facilities include the latest laboratories, seminar halls, and a library for practical learning by students. Also, the faculties attend various national and international conferences and academic committees so that the students could learn according to the industry requirement.

Department of Chemistry

An outstanding integrated academic and chemical research route characterizes the Department of Chemistry. The department provides a solid academic foundation with a highly competent faculty involved in theoretical and experimental chemistry.

Department of Pharmacognosy

Pharmacology department, opened in 2018, has Diploma (D.Pharm.), has a Bachelor’s program (B.Pharm) and will soon offer M.Pharma (with specialization in Pharmacology). Under the dynamic leadership of Prof. Dr. Jyoti G. Jain, the department emphasizes teaching, research, and practical training in pharmacology.

The department is fully equipped to do student learning by its state-of-the-art laboratories, seminar hall, and dedicated library. The faculty members are very active in national and international conferences and academic committees, so students learn from the best in the industry. 

Department of Pharmacy Practice

 The Pharmacy Practice Department enhances public health by ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines. The department is concerned with pharmaceutical care, drug safety, patient counseling, and clinical research, thus equipping students to work together with other healthcare professionals. 

The Pharm. D program is a six-year professional education course that has been structured by having five years of input in classrooms and an internship in the hospital for one year. Graduates can pursue careers as clinical pharmacists, medical writers, regulatory affairs professionals, or pharmacovigilance specialists in hospitals, research institutions, or healthcare organizations.

The improving outcomes in therapeutics and management of its accompanying issues as concerns drug safety and patient care are largely attributed to the involvement of Pharm.D. professionals.
