Department of Chemistry: Encompassed by highly skilled and driven staff members, the department is always striving to sustain a culture of Research Excellence and the highest calibre of Chemical Education. The department have faculty members who specialize in different areas of theoretical and experimental chemistry. Faculty members are highly competent and efficient whose work is internationally recognized.
The Department has good instrumental facilities and has very well-equipped research laboratories.
Vision
To Establish a Centre of Excellence for Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis, and Bio-chemistry in drug delivery through cutting-edge and modern approaches to Teaching and Research.
Mission
- Acquiring new knowledge in Pharmaceutical Chemistry/Medicinal Chemistry as well as Bio chemistry and Analytical Chemistry.
- Creation of Drug-Related Information through Studies.
- Contribution to the advancement of society through involvement in government and community groups, the provision of professional advice, or activities pertaining to medicinal chemistry and pharmaceuticals in general.

Syed Shakeel Ahmed

Prof. Syed Shakeel Ahmed is a distinguished academician with over 21 years of teaching experience at diploma, degree, and postgraduate levels. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at MAM College of Pharmacy. In addition to his extensive teaching career, he has five years of experience as a hospital pharmacist in the Gulf.
He completed his B.Pharm from VL College of Pharmacy in 1996 and M.Pharm in 2009 from BLDEA College Bijapur With a strong background in pharmaceutical chemistry, he actively mentors students in research projects and contributes to the academic growth of future pharmacists.
He is a member of the Indian Red Cross Society and the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India, as well as a recognized PG guide at Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore.
Syed Feroz

Syed Feroz is a distinguished academician with over 10 years of teaching experience at diploma, degree, and postgraduate levels. He is currently a Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at MAM College of Pharmacy. In addition to his extensive teaching career, he has three years of experience as a hospital pharmacist.
He completed his B.Pharm from HKE’s Society College of Pharmacy in 2011 and M.Pharm in 2018 from Luqman College of Pharmacy Kalaburagi, With a strong background in pharmaceutical chemistry, he actively mentors students in research projects and contributes to the academic growth of future pharmacists.

MD Sadiq, presently working as Asst. Prof. in MAM College Of Pharmacy-Gulbarga. (From Jan-2025). Md Sadiq has completed his B.Pharm from Luqman College Of Pharmacy-Gulbarga with Distinction in 2019 & pursued M.Pharma. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from RME’s College Of Pharmacy-Gulbarga with Distinction in the year 2022. He has started his career as academician in 2022 from DSR Institute Of Pharmaceutical Sciences-Gulbarga.
