Welcome to the Department of Pharmaceutics
Pharmaceutics is the discipline of pharmacy that deals with the science of dosage form design and embraces all facets of the process of turning a new chemical entity (NCE) into a medication that can be safely and effectively used by patients in the community.
The Department of Pharmaceutics provides curricular content in the areas of physical pharmacy, biopharmaceutics, pharmaceutical compounding and dosage form design, in the Bachelor of pharmacy (B. Pharm) and the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree programs. The department’s graduate education program prepares graduates & master’s with scientific competence in preformulation, formulation development, pharmaceutical processing/ manufacturing, and targeted drug delivery systems.
At the Department of Pharmaceutics, we lay emphasis on improving health care system, patience compliance by constantly working on modern and indigenous drugs and their formulations. The department is constantly upgrading its quality of education and research to meet the advance demands of professionals in the field. The faculty members are encouraged to serve as resourceful personal in their areas of expertise, contributing in nation upgrading.
